23/08/2007Cue: The sudden warm snap this week prompted a walk-out by staff at a Manchester city centre office today. Staff at the German insurance brokers Höte and Bothard claimed their south-facing offices were too hot because recent redecoration of the premises had resulted in most of the windows being sealed up. They're now consulting lawyers through their union. News of the walk-out prompted a flood of calls throughout the day to the arbitration service ACAS and to employers' organisations from anxious firms. But what are the rules regarding temperature?
