Mac's Musings
And finally............
17/01/2008Bong! ITV's News at 10 is back - just like it had always been there and nothing had changed.
But one thing has changed hugely - the public's chosen format for receiving news. Just as newspaper circulations are falling, so are viewing figures for flagship TV news programmes. The re-launched News at 10 clocked up just 3.8 million viewers on its first night and the BBC's 10 O'clock News only 4.8million.
Twenty years ago, both these programmes pulled in around 10-12 million viewers each, every night. The Web is now king.
